How the in-season tool works
Once the extension is installed there is nothing to set up and no dashboard to visit. Draft Sonar reads the Yahoo page you're already on and puts one small card in the top-right corner — a different card on each of three pages. It figures out your league's scoring and roster shape by itself, and it is strictly read-only: it recommends, you click Yahoo's buttons.

Lineup check
Open My Team and the card checks every player against Draft Sonar's weekly projections. Flags warn you about starters who are hurt, suspended, or have no game. Lineup check lists specific moves with the projected gain and the reasoning. The bottom line shows your current projected total vs. the best your roster can produce.
A coin-flip tag means the gap is under 1.5 points — genuinely too close to call, so your gut is a fine tie-breaker. The unlabeled ("clear") moves are where the tool is actually telling you something.
Lineup check
The quiet state is the tool working. If your lineup is already right, the card says so and stops — it will never invent a move to look busy. Check back after injury news breaks or later in the week: projections refresh daily, and a Wednesday "optimal" can become a Saturday swap.
2Players — waiver targets

Browse the waiver wire like you always do. The card ranks the players on the page you're viewing by how much they'd improve your starting lineup — not by raw points. That's why it won't push a nice-looking backup QB when your starter is healthy: he'd score points on your bench, which is worth nothing. Every suggestion names a drop.
Use Yahoo's own filters (position, sort by projections) to show it different candidates. "No add on this page beats your roster" is an honest answer — it just saved you a churn move.
first visit: if it asks you to "open My Team once," do that and come back — it needs to have seen your roster.
3Matchups — the outlook

Draft Sonar's own projection of your matchup, shown honestly next to Yahoo's so you can see when we disagree, plus the single biggest positional edge or hole. Use it for strategy: a big underdog week is the week to take upside swings on waivers instead of safe floors.
Note: lineup advice is not on this page — that lives on My Team. Waiver advice lives on Players. One card per page, each doing one job.
A weekly rhythm that works
- Monday–Tuesday: check the Players page and put in waiver claims (most Yahoo leagues process Tuesday night). This is the habit with the biggest payoff.
- Wednesday–Saturday: one glance at My Team — projections refresh daily as injury news and Vegas lines move.
- Sunday before kickoff: the pass that matters. Inactives are out and the Flags section earns its keep. Mind Thursday-game players — they lock at their own kickoff.
How to read it honestly
- data 2026-09-xx in the footer is the projection date — that's how fresh the advice is.
- no-data on a player (rookies with no NFL history, players with no game) means we won't pretend to project someone we have nothing on.
- Kicker and defense numbers we don't specifically model are Vegas estimates, labeled as such.
- Win probabilities are our model's opinion, shown beside Yahoo's on purpose. Early in the season, treat big disagreements with some skepticism.
- Everything is read-only. The card never touches your team, never auto-claims, never lineups for you.
Not seeing the card?
- Refresh the Yahoo tab. A tab that was open before the extension installed or updated won't have the card until you reload.
- You're on a page it doesn't cover — it appears only on My Team, Players, and Matchups inside a league.
- You closed it with ✕ — it returns on the next page load.
- Check you're in the Chrome profile where the extension is installed (chrome://extensions).
